Privacy Policy
Summary: Vaanga Invite works entirely on your device. We do not operate servers, accounts, or analytics. Information you enter and photos you choose stay on your phone unless you save or share an invitation.
1. Who we are
Vaanga Invite is a mobile app for creating and sharing invitation cards. This policy describes how the app handles information. The app is published by the developer of the Invitation_Maker open-source project on GitHub.
2. Information the app uses
When you use the app, you may provide:
- Text you type in the editor (names, occasion titles, dates, times, venues, phone numbers, messages, and language preferences).
- An optional photo selected from your device through the system photo picker. If you add a photo, the app may use on-device face detection (Google ML Kit) only to frame the picture on your invitation—this processing does not leave your phone.
- Your choice of invitation template and category.
This information is stored in the app’s memory on your device while you edit an invitation. It is used only to draw your invitation image locally.
3. What we do not collect
The app does not:
- Require an account or sign-in.
- Send your content to our servers (we do not run backend services for this app).
- Use the
INTERNETpermission or transmit data over the network by itself. - Include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- Sell or rent your personal information.
4. How data is stored and shared
On your device
- Generated invitation images can be saved to your device gallery (Photos) when you tap save.
- Temporary image files may be created in the app’s cache to support sharing.
- Android may include app data in device backups according to your system backup settings.
When you choose to share
- If you share an invitation, the image and any message you add are passed to the app you select (for example WhatsApp or another app from the system share sheet).
- Those third-party apps handle data under their own privacy policies. We do not control what they do with content you send through them.
5. Permissions
The app may request or use the following capabilities:
- Photo picker — to let you choose an optional image from your gallery. On supported Android versions, access is limited to photos you select.
- Storage (Android 9 and below only) — the app may request
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGEto save invitations to the gallery on older devices. This permission is not used on Android 10 and above for gallery saving in the same way. - File provider — used internally so share targets can read a generated image file you choose to share. This is not a network permission.
6. Children’s privacy
The app is a general-purpose invitation design tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own services, because we do not collect data on a server. Parents and guardians should supervise use of share and gallery features.
7. Security
Because processing happens on your device, protecting your phone (screen lock, updates, and careful sharing) is the main way to keep your invitations private.
8. Your choices
- You can stop using optional photo upload at any time.
- You can delete saved images from your gallery using your device’s photo app.
- You can clear the app’s data or uninstall the app to remove local app state.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top will be revised. The current version is always available at this page.
10. Contact
Questions about this privacy policy or the app can be submitted via GitHub Issues on the project repository.
